I just spotted myself on GSV.  I was walking near the US Captiol about 3 months ago and I spotted the GSV car driving by.  Seeing this topic, I decided to see if the image got uploaded and sure enough, there I am.  My face is blotted out, but I was wearing some distinctive clothing.

I noticed a 360° Street View circle on the Walmart near Fort Drum, NY, and wondered where in the store it was.  After turning around, I was surprised to see an extreme close-up of the face of the guy taking the picture.

I found my friend Seamas watering his lawn. His image was blurred, but I recognized the house ;)

Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

When drought strikes: The view from a bridge...

... and from below the same bridge, just less than half-a-year later!
Looks like the water level there varies by a lot, judging by the historical street view!

I don't know the area so could they have emptied it out mid season?

Recently, I did some NYC Ferry research with GSV, and west of the India Street Ferry Pier in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I saw something sunk beneath the East River.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/40°43'54.0%22N+73°57'48.7%22W/@40.7316508,-73.9631579,355m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d40.731667!4d-73.963528?hl=en

Was it a boat? A ship? A barge? An old Dock? Anything I should've been familiar with when I still lived in the Tri-State Area?

Appears to be a floating dock extension for the India Street pier. According to Google Earth, it was built in 2011. It appears in aerial imagery until 2017 and then under water in 2018.

Do you actually know it to be underwater? It looks to me simply as though it's been erased from the imagery, as is the usual procedure with vehicles and other transient objects in Google's 3D imagery.

Funny you mention that.  I saw my uncle outside at his house working in the garden.  Plus you see his little dog sitting in the driveway.

Also see the partially complete haunted house my neighbor builds in his front yard every year (we're on great terms, so I never complain).

Hmm. I took a closer look, and I see a crane on the thing too.

It still looks like it's underwater.

Right, that's the erasure. Look for cars on the roads–they look similarly underwater (or underasphalt).

Map of state roads I have taken pictures for the signs for can be seen here (although four routes ave not been added yet because of their lengths.):

A few days ago, I came across someone who made a DIY Street View car on NY 5 between DeWitt and Fayetteville.  Pan down to see their roof mount.

He said, "Madam, I just clocked you at 22 MPH," and she said "That's the speed limit," he said "No ma'am, that's the route numbah!"  - Gary Crocker

Weirdest traffic calming I've ever seen...
[link snipped]

Reminds me of the security measures you might see at the entrance to a military installation.

KEVIN_224

@ YAKRA: It looks like there's a closed-off bridge just after those traffic-calming planter things.

I've seen a couple of side streets off of Boulevard in West Hartford, CT (not far from the Hartford line) that were narrowed or bent to the sides to slow down traffic passing through.

Here's something I've never seen in Street View before!  I just stumbled on a few trailers of new BGSes in a parking lot on NY 80 just off of I-81 in Tully waiting to be installed.
