Is there any way to determine this other than by checking individual routes' TM pages?

https://courses.teresco.org/metal/hdx/

Graph format should be "traveled", despite a different option saying "most likely you want this".

Before you choose the region you want, first choose any region with a small number of points (like the first one by default, Afghanistan), turn off "show markers", and then choose the one you want. Otherwise, it's going to take a really long time to load a large set.

I have now tried playing with this for a solid 15 minutes and I'm stumped. I have no idea how to get this to show anything relevant to this topic?

For the handful of US states that show up in the graph list, I can eventually get to a view where if I click on a segment it will give me a list of users who have traveled it, but this is actually less useful than just looking at routes in the highway browser.

I misinterpreted the thread title. I was thinking of segments of road, not entire clinches.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Segments is actually even easier: just load up Mapview and change the coloring to by traveler count.  Segments with only one traveler have their own color.

According to TM, I am the only one to have logged a clinch of WA 108 Business, which I stumbled upon by chance while clinching WA 108 last week.

M3100

I looked at three states where I have the highest % of road segments clinched.
I did not see any where I was the only one who clinched any route

These are the highways I have clinched, with the fewest total clinchers:

State - Route - Total clinched

CA US6 Historic - Santa Clarita  - 3
CA US395 Historic - Temecula - 3
CA US395 Historic - Riverside - 3

AZ AZ80 - 5
AZ AZ386 - 5

HI HI7101 - 5

Ok, for Oregon:
I'm the only one who's clinched OR 241, 255, 260, and 380.
Only one person has clinched OR 402 and the western half of 422.
No one's clinched OR 245 or 413, and no one's been on the northern half of 237.
As for US 30B in Huntington, there's a question whether it's a Business loop or mainline 30 itself.

Lone clinches:

In my own state, I'm the only clincher of GA81, GA138, GA155, GA162, and GA162Con (Porterdale). Elsewhere, I also hold the solo title on PR24.

Other states with a lower number than listed in the table already:

Alabama: AL165, AL169 (2 total clinchers each)
Florida: FL907 (8)
Hawaii: HI8930 (3)
Maryland: MD117, MD124 (10 each)
North Carolina: NC60 (14)

I was just doing it for me specifically rather than getting a table finding the lowest amount of clinchers per segment per state.  I was just kind of curious what my "most remote" routes were in each state.

Chris

In TravelMapping, there are three people who have Indiana 100% clinched, so there's no route with fewer than 3 people who have clinched it. The routes that have only three clinchers:

IN 13, IN 18, IN 28, IN 37(S), IN 39(N)
IN 43(S), IN 48(W), IN 54, IN 58
IN 59, IN 60, IN 63(S), IN 64, IN 65
IN 66, IN 69, IN 71(S), IN 75(N), IN 75(S)
IN 135, IN 157, IN 158, IN 159(N), IN 159(S)
IN 160, IN 165, IN 168, IN 203, IN 218(E)
IN 234(W), IN 235, IN 246, IN 256, IN 257
IN 264, IN 335(N), IN 337(N), IN 337(S), IN 356(E)
IN 356(W), IN 357, IN 362, IN 458, IN 462
IN 550(W)

Two that really surprise me are IN 37 and IN 135 as they're pretty major routes. What that tells me is that other than the three people who have the state 100% clinched, everybody else who's logged their travels has focused more on clinching the Interstate/US highway mileage and visiting counties and not on clinching state routes.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

(CO172, CO184, and CO348 still have no clinchers at all.)

Since your original post, both of us have clinched CO348.

In Montana, I am the only TM user to have traveled or clinched MT 38. Much of it is a narrow, unpaved mountain road, though the spectacular Skalkaho Falls in the middle probably draws some non-masochistic tourists.

(btw, why aren't FM routes on TM?).

Being worked on, by a team member who also does a lot of TM system administration work. As you can imagine, it's a huge project, though many FM/RM routes have been drafted.

I'm not a travel mapper but looking through the list of what you guys put for single clinches there is a couple I have finished also.  CO 141 from the original post as an example is one I've clinched too.

Out of curiosity what is the current listings for Arizona and California?

Scott5114

It looks like there are a few OK routes that only I have clinched, mostly because they ramble around in an illogical fashion that nobody would follow unless they were intending to clinch the route. OK-59 is one of these. A few others, I'm a little surprised by, like OK-76 (funnily enough, the section I'm unique on is not the stub end!). I'm also the only one to clinch OK-65 (which is a perfectly logical route, it just doesn't go to many big towns).

I seem to have slightly overestimated Eric Stuve's travels a bit–his coverage on OKHighways is so vast that I assumed that he had more of the system done than he really does. While he does have more of it done than me, it looks like he's been to every terminus (which is the primary coverage focus of OKHighways) but not necessarily filled in the gaps in between.

Cross-posted from the "Highways you have Clinched" thread, which I thought this was until I couldn't find my previous post, some of these aren't full clinches but it's still relevant:

Looks like I'm one of only 7 travelers to have been on NY 279, so I'm thinking that's probably my most niche clinched route!

Browsing around a bit more, it turns out that a portion of the state route closest to home also only has 7 travelers. Which is interesting because most routes around here have at least 9-10 or more. And the legend for "# of Travelers" only goes down to 5 when zoomed in on my home region.

With that said, I figured there wasn't much hope of me being the sole clincher of anything in TM anytime soon... that is, until I remembered Manitoba, where I've logged my travels (as best I can remember) on Winnipeg City Routes, a preview system.

Turns out I'm the sole traveler on portions of MB 236, MB 238, MB 307, and MB 520, plus Winnipeg City Routes 95, 105, and 145. Heading down to North Dakota, I am presumably the sole traveler on portions of ND 17 and ND 32; I've been to both Edinburg and Park River, and have those segments of their respective routes logged even though I don't remember with 100% certainty the exact routing I took.

Apparently nobody on Travel Mapping has clinched TX-35, which I did last week. Makes perfect sense though for a decently long route that is not the fastest route between its two endpoints in a relative corner of the country. I presume I am the sole clincher on this forum of several FM roads.

There are a few routes in Northeast Georgia where I'm the only TM user that has clinched them, but for a lot of these it's because the route as a whole doesn't necessarily make sense as a route that would be traveled from end to end.

GA 82, 191, 330, 334, 335.
Control cities CAN be off the route! Control cities make NO sense if signs end before the city is reached!

So I think the fewest people to clinch I highway I have clinched is 3.  I share all my clinches with at least two other people, if I'm observing the stats on TM correctly.

Highway clinches I share with only two other people:  Minnesota 270, Illinois 1, Illinois 4, Illinois 78, Illinois 142, Illinois 149

In my state (Maryland) I had no illusions of being the only clincher of a particular route.  At best, I am only one of 7 people to clinch MD 382.  All of my other Maryland clinches, I am one of at least ten, if not more (or many more).

Worldwide, it looks like the only road that I am the only clincher is Iceland's TH 38.

(I will admit that I didn't do an exhaustive search; instead looked at the likely candidates)

I think this is all of them. It appears several of my "only me" clinches in Ontario have been taken away by other users gaining ground. :)

                               -> QC 325, which I've travelled 1.78%

Well oscar and I are the only ones to visit Chapleau, ON, so that's another contender! But the real lesson is that oscar has been everywhere. :sombrero:

I wish there were an easier way to do this on the Travel Mapping site than clicking and hunting through each individual route's page. I know I have a bunch in Utah and maybe a couple in Georgia too.

However, more interesting are those routes I've clinched where I am the only driver. Per the Travel Mapping website, Utah 45, 122, 125, 174, 208, and 218 all fall into that category, and there may be a few more - though I know some of these routes have been clinched by members of this forum who for various reasons don't use TM. Corco, for example, has clinched all but three of those.

Also, I used to have a few more that have gradually been picked away over the years. I know I was at one point the only driver on Utah 81, 87, 136, and 155.

JayhawkCO

Maybe Jim can figure out a way to search the TM DB for lowest clinched counts by state for us and spit a report out. I'm going to work on updating my list that I posted upthread for my own particular "most untraveled" highways.

Strikethrough shows a list where I'm the only in TM but somebody here has clinched it as well without logging their routes.

So in the U.S. & Canada, I'm the only clincher of 31 different routes.
