I've got some big news! I am one of the 16 people being featured on the first season of "The Employables." The series is a new docuseries following struggling job seekers with conditions such as autism or Tourette Syndrome as they search for meaningful employment. With the help of specialists, each job seeker uncovers their talents and works to show potential employers that their perceived disabilities can often provide unexpected benefits in the workplace.

Congrats man, that's pretty neat! I couldn't ever imagine myself on national TV. Hopefully this'll end up shedding a bit more light on the issue of adults with mental conditions such as autism not being able to find employment. It's a rather neglected issue from what I've seen, especially considering almost all attention about disabilities like these are paid to children with the disease, whereas adults get little to none.
And the fact that many/most autistics cannot interview well in that they 'think' differently from those in H.R./management - 'not one of the guys/gals' - is an über frustration and, frankly, a tragic waste of human resources, it cannot be ignored.
Yes, I also 'walk that walk' every day.

Yes, I hope this series will shine the light on those with disabilities trying to find jobs. These people with disabilities are very talented, it just seems like they get left out, I hope that changes.
