If a signing contract for various BGS signs (40 plus) is awarded in June.  How long before the actual replacement of signs begins?

The contract in question is this:
https://www.dot.ny.gov/portal/pls/portal/MEXIS_APP.DYN_PROJECT_DETAILS.show?p_arg_names=p_pin&p_arg_values=XM1565

The bid was opened on 5/7/15 and the contract awarded on 6/5/2015

I would imagine they have to design the signs and actually make them and that would take a few months correct?

I'd like to get updated pics of some that are being replaced before it's too late is why I am asking.
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

I would think the time differs based on the project. You have different groups who are responsible for making the signs, and installing them, and of course replacing the old ones.

For this particular project, it appears from the document that "Estimated Substantial Completion Date" is next November. The document says that:

QuoteThis is the day the public (including vehicles and pedestrians) has full and unrestricted use and benefit of the facilities both from the operational and safety standpoint.

I take this to mean that the sign would be installed by then. It doesn't say of course the exact date the new sign would be put up though.

I'm not sure though. That's just what I take from that document.
