Hello hello! I have been lurking in here for a while, but finally decided to make an account last night. Been living in Seattle my whole life, though i do often visit the desert southwest. I like everything traffic signal and traffic management related, and have since I was a toddler; and I'm particularly interested in horizontal signalheads as well. If it glows and controls big vehicles, i probably like it. I also like to photograph both road and rail based signals, and have a massive folder of the weird and wonderful signalheads i've seen throughout my time doing photography.

Welcome!  I live in Ballard!

Seattle could use some improvement on its traffic signal timing and actuation.   :sombrero:
Take the road less traveled.

Welcome from New York State, on the other side of the country! Some great places for finding horizontal traffic lights are Lincoln, Nebraska and Yakima, Washington (though you probably already knew about that one).

Oh interesting, i'm also from Ballard :) Definitely gonna agree on that. Have had way too many problems with the signals here both as a driver and a pedestrian

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Welcome from the Great Lakes!

If you have any cool photos, we have a few threads over on the Traffic Control board where you might consider uploading. Or over on the Photos board.

:) Needs more... :sombrero: Not quite... :bigass: Perfect.

Welcome from Arkansas!

I've got a brother that has a tiny top floor condo in Belltown that has an upstairs window that frames the Space Needle as he's standing at his kitchen sink, so been there several times.

We had an uncle that was a policeman when we were very young that gifted us a traffic light for Christmas, so we share your affinity for signalization.
