Title: What's the name of that scary "screech screech SCREECH" music?
Post by: bandit957 on February 28, 2020, 01:00:07 PM
Anyone else know what I'm talking about? It's the short piece of music people sometimes use when something scary approaches. I'm not sure how I'd describe it. It's not really a "screech" but the notes are kind of high-pitched.

I always thought it was in 'Jaws', but I'm not too sure.

Don't worry, I found it. I think it's just called "Psycho Violin Screech."

This thread is like StackOverflow for screeching.

Anyway, here's a mashup of Love Shack with the Psycho soundtrack:

Jay Leno's Headlines frequently used that rapid violin screech music.
