There are some steel plates
On Cary Street in Richmond.
Lowered cars beware!

Over in Short Pump
North Gayton Road extension
Still isn't open.

How many of those
Will we see at the road meet?
Only two more weeks!

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Found on roads on Mexico.

Proofreading poems:
pretty good idea, but
not always employed.

Well, being really
Technical, the roads are "on"
Mexican soil.

I can add them in,
But that may mean fewer stops
And more "drive by" sites.

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

What the heck are they smoking?
AASHTO jumps the shark.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

kphoger

on my way to work
sometimes my mind shuts off but
then i saw a van

different company
from vtk as in post
seventy seven

sorted the muses
not sure but then it hit me
i 69 c

or maybe even
i 69 w
would be better still

used the search feature
prepared to exhume the dead
from its four year rest

checked the most recent
and i thought to myself crap
they beat me to it

dug through the muse trash
should i go with that doggone
highway forty one

but no that won't do
that horse has been beat to death
too cliché by now

an unburial
demands something a bit more
controversy prone

then the angels sang
and my eyes hurt from the blaze
of epiphany

we have yet to write
a haiku about that damned
hypotenuse

so give it your best
just remember to keep it
five seven and five

rough draft and revise
make it the absolute best
that dz deserves

if you win we'll name
an oklahoma turnpike
in honor of you

We pretty much just go by the 5-7-5 rule on here.  There's more to poetry than that, but it's good enough for us.
