For example the Beesley's Point Bridge was caught in Oct 2014 being demolished by the GSV camera

Seeing this I thought of the Waldo-Hancock Bridge.  But the imagery is too old.

So that could be one to watch out for updates.  Perhaps there is newer imagery in the update queue.

Then I was thinking of near to your example the new NJ 52 causeway/bridge.  That imagery is too new.  :banghead: :banghead:

The dismantling of the Oklahoma City Crosstown Expressway is pretty neat at the cross streets. Lots of ramps just going up to......nothing.
If you used to draw freeways on your homework and got reprimanded by your Senior English teacher for doing so, you might be a road geek!

One that will be neat to see, any bridge project that involves a twin span and then replacement of the current span when half the replacement is built.

Sudders Falls Bridge: One replacement span to be built, the current one demolished, then a new span built where it was. One moment you are on the 20xx span, select the oldest street view, and it is the 1959 span

I know Google Street View saw into the past, but now they see into the future??!!??  Oct 2014??

FWIW, Google Maps has routed the I-90 Innerbelt Bridge in Cleveland across the new span, but in satellite mode, most of the new bridge is missing:

I-71 Jeremiah Morrow Bridge over Little Miami River (near mile 30-something in Ohio): G®SV™ shows the new SB span nearing completion between the old NB and SB spans. (Present condition: NB traffic temporarily on new SB span; demolition nearing completion of old NB span.)
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

Not quite a demolition, but take a step forward to see what I mean. Kinda creepy...

In Alexandria, VA, a RR bridge is being demolished over Richmond Hwy/US-1.  This was a rail spur that served Ft. Belvoir.  Too bad it wasn't repurposed for the VRE, or even Metrorail.

Maybe someone who knows about bridge construction can tell me if this is a demolition or construction. This is the Sept 2014 view of the WB ITR to the Borman ramp in Portage, IN. I can't recall if they were still tearing down the old bridge then or had started building the new one.

Moved up a few feet and by looking at the pillars, either these are the original or the ITR is hiring shoddy concrete people to pour the "new" cement....or both!!!  :bigass:

The Sept 2013 view shows a bridge there, the current Sept 2014 view shows only these supports, so........ :)

^^ That doesn't tell us if the latest view (9/2014) is while the old structure was being demolished or the new one was going up. My recollection from my latest drive past is that the new structure is now going up.

The close-up view of the pillars makes me hope that those were the old ones before demolition. If that's not the case, I may hesitate to drive across the new bridge. Those look bad.

Valid point. I was looking at the view from directly underneath the bridge eastbound , looking left  towards the westbound carriage way  (a red older model 2 door Pontiac can be seen travelling westbound, just to the right of the right support in the 2014 view).

Looking at the supports there is an indentation lighter the the surrounding concrete on the left support pretty much at camera level that matches in both pictures, and a rust stain of some kind that is oriented from top down on the left edge of the right support that match in both the 2013 and 2014 pictures so if I was a betting man I would say that those are the old supports from the old bridge being demolished.

^^ Thanks for the analysis. I was confident that somebody smarter and with younger eyesight than I would figure it out.

The good news is that the new bridge is going up NOW. My only regret is that they didn't fix the whole interchange while they were at it. Of course, I don't have a few million to finance it and we all know that ITR doesn't.

The King's Highway Bridge (VA 125) demolition was shown on GSV back when I drove the route a few years ago. Now it's just the old alignment visible.
