What technological "toys" do you carry around with you in your car?

I have both of my cameras, my MP3 player and an FM transmitter, that I can use to listen to my MP3 player via my stereo system.

Ah! I forgot to mention my cell phone (which I don't have a hands-free device for). :colorful: :-D

Same thing with mightyace. Just my cell phone. And it's not even a fancy one like his.

Occasionally I take pictures, so obviously then I bring my camera. But that is rare these days.

GPS?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Chris

You should know European, and especially Dutch roads are lined with speed cameras, and many people slow down to 75 km/h on their speedometer when the speed limit is 80 km/h. But 75 km/h on your speedometer are only like 68 real kms, and you'll get ticketed above 83 km/h, and I don't want to drive 15 km/h too slow. GPS gives your real speed (when driving at a constant pace).

You should also know my job requires me to get to many places I haven't visted before. Since most towns and cities have a far from logical street pattern over here, a GPS becomes convenient. Ofcourse I know all of the major roads, and I don't use it then.

SSOWorld

iPod (which has direct integration with the car stereo :colorful: :spin:), cell phone and camera (the last particularly when true roadgeeking occurs)

I often have playlists that are up to 5-6 hours long so I can have a bit of a soundtrack for my drives

Ah, the open skies, wind at my back, warm sun on my... wait, where the hell am I?!
As a matter of fact, I do own the road.

My newest gadget, just bought this afternoon: A notebook! Prepare for way more road movies! (I was limited to SD cards before on multiple-day trips).

Just bought two new devices today: a Smart AC Inverter (150w) that I can use to plug my camera into; and a two outlet power strip. This helps me a lot, as I don't have to worry about the battery life on my camera and I can have my camera and MP3's FM transmitter plugged up at the same time.
