It begins in the suburbs of Paris but according to Google Maps, OSM, MQOpenMap and Bing Map, it seems to begin at Boulevard Péripherique (48.900549,2.387842). Is there any reason why it should not begin at BP?

I will say now that the N9 became A75 last year and I removed it from my files then - there is no gap, and if there was, the N9 would still be plugging it!

There's still a 2km N9 segment through Massiac, please refer to wiki sara. There's currently a gap on mapview because N122 ends in the center of Massiac (map). I guess N9 is existing to avoid a gap in the main road network.

I'll start checking the other systems in the coming days.

Consider it a bonus.

But I like that there's no gap on mapview.

That's the reason I put it in.

It's similar at N59Sel but there's no waypoint at A35.

Rather than being a motorway spur signed as the N road heading away from the autoroute (which I include as part of the N road should it end at the end of the trumpet spur even though I technically shouldn't) like the N65, N59Sel ends with a signed D road connecting it to the A35.

Should N59Sel get an additional A35 waypoint or should the N65 A6 waypoint be removed?

No to both.

N201 is similar to N65.

Actually, it's not - it's more akin to the N21, whereby it extends beyond the junction with the autoroute: I had the wrong route as it heads north of the A41/A43 trumpet.

Also, while I have not got that far down, the A216 isn't included as it is unsigned, but is put into the N216 because it links that road to the motorway in a similar way to the trumpet to the N65. See also such things as the A14(M) and A195(M) in England - motorway sections of the road not signed with the motorway number and thus included in the A road (Tim had a problem with them as motorways, but not as A road bits).

It's not - they ever so slightly don't match on the D31 point (N440's lon=2.395792, A6 lon=2.395793, N441 lon=2.395794) so they are not. I've moved the northern end of N441 to match reality better (it doesn't merge back in at its north end) anyway

Yes, and no - WikiSara is a fallable source and there's also other rules beyond that. All known unsigned routes are discounted*. Routes like those in Seine St Denis that are signed but aren't official parts of the N road are treated as erroneous/old signage because those roads haven't been official N roads for over 20 years, and WikiSara is a useful source of information there.

*I don't tend to go looking for proof of a road's signage unless I have suspicion (the pointless N2537 raised my eyebrows for that area due to OSM, etc not showing it, and the A216 was Tim back in 2009).
