Reading, PA Outlets
« on: July 17, 2023, 10:14:39 PM »

I remember in November 1980 my parents went to Reading, PA and we had a day road trip from Clark, NJ to that city.  I remember John Lennon’s Just Like Starting Over and Hall & Oates You’ve Lost That Lovin Feeling dominated the radio at that time as we drove there.

One of our stops was the Great Factory on Spring Street and the other was the former Vanity Fair in Wyomissing.  Both are gone as the former became a McDonalds as the former factory building burned down in 1996 while the latter got redeveloped.

Was wondering if these two buildings https://goo.gl/maps/Dnr2iC1Qb7fVm9iG6 were the Red and Blue Buildings of the defunct VF Outlet?

Most of all with those two Outlet companies history, is Reading still the Outlet Capital of the World as it once was with the two giants?

Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.
