Many of us have seen commercials all of our lives.  Many good, some okay, a few of them boring, then the ones that are so annoying we see each day of our lives.

However, some are memorable, cute, and just a plain classic.

Here is one from Dunkin Donuts from the 80's that I think is memorable, or at least the characters created for it.

The Flintstones were originally promoted as an adult cartoon, shown in prime time. Not "adult humor" as we've come to know it, though.

Back before the advent of catalytic converters in model year 1975 to reduce vehicle emissions, Amoco Super-Premium was the only lead-free gasoline for sale anywhere (this was before the company started to market the regular unleaded in the blue pump which Johnny also promoted in that commercial).

Does anyone else recall the label on the front part of the pump under the dials?  It read,  "The only one CERTIFIED LEAD-FREE."  This toy Amoco pump that was apparently for auction in 2008 is remarkably accurate here (note the price for a gallon of that high-octane unleaded!).

Aspirin and Sucrets. I didn't even have to watch it to remember that one. It's amazing how you can just hear a line from a commercial you haven't seen for years and instantly remember what product it was for. By the way, when was the last time you saw Sucrets? Just knowing what Sucrets are dates you.

PHLBOS

Many of the Prudential Insurance commercials that aired during the 70s (when M*A*S*H was still on the air) were outright hilarious.

"What does Bob Dole think? Bob Dole thinks he's a doofus!" :-D

That reminds me of when Dole appeared on SNL shortly after he lost the election, and was consoling Norm MacDonald, who impersonated him on there. He eventually began to critique MacDonald's impersonation, with the best line being "I don't go around saying Bob Dole this and Bob Dole that. That's just not something that Bob Dole does!"

Bushs Baked beans commercials were always cool and I think the one with Jay telling dog Duke "When pigs fly" and Duke getting a pig with artificial wings to glide around Jay's house a few times was the best one of these.

Just caught up with this one...there's a route shield in the top-right that doesn't appear to be from Kansas at 0:14 in the video.

At 1:44 in this video (the making of the commercial), you can get a better look at them...some sort of "238 Loop" and "11" to the right of it. Looks like Texas, but I'm not sure...They might be mock-ups.

Here is a classic.
