I've seen a bunch of photos in various threads that should be posted in a stand-alone thread to differentiate them from permanently-installed signage.

Let's start with this one.

It's unusual to find Han Characters on a sign in America, quite far away from any so-called "Chinatown".

This is for temporary signs, not permanently-installed ones, and to differentiate between construction contractor signs and signs permanently installed by or on behalf of DOTs.
