These HAWK/emergency beacons seem completely unnecessary. They only seem to operate up until right after the gate arms come down, and the phasing does not seem to align with what is typical of these types of signal beacons (HAWK-style red flash means each car must stop and can proceed when clear, but this was displayed briefly with the crossing gates down).
