Today I finished up my clinches of MN 167, MN 23, MN 60, and the Minnesota portion of US 75.

MN 23 now overtakes MN 27 as the longest state highway that I've clinched. What I did today was drive the section between Brook Park and I-90 near Manley, which was essentially doing a dot-to-dot connecting the nine or ten smaller sections I had already driven on. Unfortunately the whole southern part of the state was super foggy today so I couldn't really see much of anything but the road itself, but oh well.

Today I was on the opposite corner of Minnesota from last week. I finished clinching MN 61, MN 200, and MN 47.

Added a few clinches. New ones in bold, of course.

Assuming that Shedingtonian was asking about the content of the parenthesis, a retroactive clinch means that the route has changed (typically changed numbers) since it was clinched.

Assuming that Shedingtonian was asking about the content of the parenthesis, a retroactive clinch means that the route has changed (typically changed numbers) since it was clinched.

And in this case, PE1 was rerouted in 2019 and the old route became PE27.

Yep. I wasn't able to do PE 27 since the designation changed, though.

As of a recent road trip, I can now add I-440 (AR) and US 72 as clinches.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Got back from New Orleans.  Have now clinched I-10 all across LA, I-12, I-110, and I-910.  Clinched the section of I-55 between I-10 and I-12.

I just did a quickie overnight in AZ, NV, and back to CA. I clinched AZ-195, the future beltway that goes a quarter of the way around Yuma, and AZ-96 which goes out to the Bagdad copper mining town. I was surprised that Bagdad was reasonably clean and pleasant--I was expecting something decrepit and run-down like Ajo. Of course, it's much smaller. I exited down AZ-97 and was surprised to see that that 11-mile road had mile markers ranging from 166 down to 156. I see no evidence that it is part of a former route that started at the Mexico border. So is that a normal thing in AZ? After that, I went up US-93, which had some fourlaning since last time I drove it. I always smile when I go through Nothing. If someone ever builds a roadside store or gas station there, will they have to change the name to Something?

In NV, I just clinched 11 of the state highways in Las Vegas and Henderson. I suppose I could have clinched them all, but driving around the boring streets of a flat desert city doesn't make for a very exciting day, so I went out NV-160, which is really nice passing through the local mountains, through Pahrump (ugh), and into California. Since Death Valley wasn't reporting any significant bloom yet, I headed down 127. The road had been closed for some months, but the repairs looked mostly done. There were miles of road featuring the old pavement with the striping down the middle but only half a lane on each side, and new pavement out to the shoulders, implying that the rains had eroded the edges of the road for mile after mile after mile. I might have taken Kelbaker Rd, and worked my way down through the various sections of desert to I-8, but Kelbaker's closed again, so I was stuck in Vegas traffic back to Barstow.
