I just learned that ten states have never ratified the 21st Amendment.

An authentic Italian restaurant in the US (or French or German, but Italian restaurants are much more common) should have these:

  • Credit card readers used in Europe (if you've been to Canada but not Europe, they're the same ones)
  • Emergency exit signs are the green running man.
  • The time printed on the receipt is in 24-hour time.
  • Euros should be accepted. At the current exchange rate, that's a 4% fee compared to paying with US dollars.
  • While most restaurants are a single floor, if it is multiple, the one at street level is floor 0.
  • Parmesan cheese and prosciutto must come from Parma. Champagne, if they have it, must come from Champagne.
  • Tax is already included in the price.
  • Does Italy round to the nearest 0.05 or 0.10? France unofficially rounds to 0.10, but it's not consistent even within the Eurozone, so I don't know.

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Would you support an authentic American Restaurant in Italy using what would be used in America?

Just like Olive Garden is the only Italian restaurant in America.  :D

Change Italian to Spanish, and except the sixth and last items it would pretty much be the same. For the sixth item, I would state that ham must be cut in slices from a dry-cured pig's hind leg on site (and of course be from Spain). Spain doesn't round yet, even though I chose not to carry any coins below €0.05.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

They could start by cutting the salt they use on everything by 3/4.
They only do that to sell drinks.

What exactly drives this obsessive hatred of Olive Garden? It's just bland chain food like Red Lobster or TGI Friday's. It's not really worth the relentlessly shaming people over, is it?

I've had some decent fish at Red Lobster.  But good Italian food is soooo good and not that hard to make that they're no reason for Olive Garden to massacre it.

Back to the subtitles thing: They should be displayed at plays and musicals as well. Often the sound mixing or speakers aren't properly set up, so it's hard to catch what was said/sung.

All of the Olive Garden locations in Illinois are far superior to any restaurant in any other state.  I know this because I went to Indiana once, and anyone who disagrees with this proven fact has obviously never been to Illinois.

Olive Garden was started by Darden just like Red Lobster. But Red Lobster was sold in 2014.
