Yesterday I traveled to the U.P. of Michigan and they have as much snow as we did 3-4 weeks ago up there. There is about an inch or two on the ground in the St. Ignace area. The snowbelt stops after you get south of Houghton Lake and there is no snow in Saginaw.

We're so far south that we're not even considered "The South"

Severe storms are expected again on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Another dry, hot, and breezy day will result in elevated fire danger west of I-35 behind a dryline. Ahead of the dryline, a few storms may develop before sunset Tuesday evening. If storms are able to develop, they could become strong to severe. However, better chances for strong to severe storms will arrive with a cold front later Tuesday night. The best potential for severe storms will be east of Highway 75 and north of I-20, but how far south and west the severe threat will exist is still a bit uncertain at this time. All modes of severe weather will be possible. Make sure you pay attention to the weather Tuesday afternoon and evening, and have multiple ways to receive warnings before heading to bed Tuesday night!

Currently cloudy and 9C/48F. Tomorrow is forecasting a thunderstorm and an impressive high of 18C/64F (an early tease of summer)! The sunny skies should be returning on Friday which will be nice.

The low temperature of 7°F in South Lake Tahoe this morning is going to break the record for April 4.  It looks like there has only been one morning in this century later in the season when we got that cold (April 8, 2011, also 7°F).  It's turning into a beautiful day though, clear and dry as one would expect for it to get that cold with a forecast high of about 35°F.

Was partially successful Tuesday chasing, caught a glimpse of the eventual Lewiston IL tornado but immediately lost sight and no good roads to attempt another look. Plus the Illinois River Valley is not a good area to chase so I just ended up going home and getting out of the Peoria metro before the storm ran through.
The local weatherman, trust me I can be 99.9% right!

Reminds me, I need to get around to swapping out my winter tires...

Same, and the 14-day looks pretty warm too. Hopefully we'll avoid a mid-April snowfall this year.

I've gotta do that too, but unfortunately I've got a puncture in one of my summer tyres that I have to fix first.

:) Needs more... :sombrero: Not quite... :bigass: Perfect.

For the past two days, we've had mild but persistent thunderstorms. I've been loving it.

I just got that done this morning, although a little snow was falling on the drive to the tire store.  But, the forecasts for Sunday and Monday call for high temperatures of 60°F (would be the first 60 since October 31).  Beyond the middle of April, if it snows here it's usually overnight, and even with a couple inches the roads will melt off by 10 or 11 a.m.
