On the Evergreen State College campus in Olympia, what looks to be a police exercise in full gear:

Pfft.  It's Evergreen State.  Probably students just getting ready to protest the totalitarian state, oppression of the lower classes and to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat.

My brother's car in my front yard (he lives 850 miles away) and neither of my cars were home.

I don't think this Streetview driver in Portland, OR got permission to be on the unopened busway on the MAX Orange Line:

Usually if a transit agency allows this, they'd have a crowd of personnel to greet the car.

I'd love to see Google Streetview coverage of busways, subways and railways eventually. Especially Seattle's, which has a few art installations in tunnels that you normally can't see as well as weird stubs and unused segments (especially when the bus tunnel converts to rail-only).

I agree.  It would be great to see public transportation on street view.

I think it is a good idea to allow for GSV cars to photograph busways.  They can be allowed an exemption and they can go during non-peak hours so as not to disturb commuting traffic.

A Streetview car captured Bertha (the TBM in Seattle that got stuck) during the lift to put its front face back into the recovery pit:

"Officer, I'm always careful to drive the speed limit no matter where I am and that's what I was doin'." Said "No, you weren't," she said, "Yes, I was." He said, "Madam, I just clocked you at 22 MPH," and she said "That's the speed limit," he said "No ma'am, that's the route numbah!"  - Gary Crocker

The Street View camera is 8 feet high:

I found this while playing GeoGuessr earlier.  I started at the intersection of South Perry and West Spring streets, and followed the Truck PA 8 signs.

Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

One wouldn't expect an ad like this one that was there in January 2014 and was moved to another billboard down the street soon afterwards. It says "I'm Idaira, I'm 19 months old and I'm dying". Not to mention the little girl, who is currently 3 years old and suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, is still alive agaisnt all odds.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

More Interesting than Crazy:

At one intersection:

Intersection prior to construction:  https://goo.gl/maps/Yd4edk6osL82

Intersection prior to lights installed:  https://goo.gl/maps/bRD9S23vF2N2

Intersection prior to lights turned on:  https://goo.gl/maps/LHwvzDfzNu52

Unfortunately, we may have to wait a while before seeing the GSV of the lights at the intersection in operation.

Either a horror scene or the remnants of some roadkill:

Probably a deer hit.  I see red splashes like that from time to time in Ohio.  Sometimes they're at an angle, which points at a carcass to the side of the road.

My mother-in-law lives with us.  On Bing's Street View, I can see her on the porch and her dogs in the yard, including one chasing the BSV vehicle (we have a fenced in front yard).  I'm guessing the BSV vehicle came down on a Monday in the spring, as I have some bags of mulch that I would've picked up during the weekend scattered in the front yard, my wife's vehicle is there (she doesn't work most Mondays), and my vehicle is missing, along with 2 vehicles of the guys that carpool with me are parked on the curb.
