I do not know if this counts, but the tunnel under the front of the Philadephia Museum of Art, is one lane.  I do not know if you could consider it an underpass, but it is one lane.

I think the point of this thread is to list 1-lane underpasses that carry two directions of traffic, or are similarly sketchy. The tunnel at the Museum of Art seems (to me anyway) more like a freeway ramp - which there are plenty of.
Yeah I did not think it was an underpass, but more of a tunnel! However, even though I have not driven through it, just looking at it on GSV makes me feel clostrophobic.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

I have mentioned this one before in some other context here, but this bridge under the Maryland Transit Administration's light rail tracks in Ferndale, Anne Arundel County, is one lane, one way, and very low.

Here's a similar one in Boston; I'm surprised it's as high as the sign says:

We've got a traffic-light-controlled one-lane underpass in Rockford, Illinois. While it's wider than one lane, the angle of the road and the Union Pacific railroad tracks was too acute (obtuse, if you're looking at it the other way LOL) for two cars to pass through at one time.  20th Street makes an 'S-curve under the UP tracks before crossing the Canadian National railroad tracks.

Here's approaching the underpass: http://goo.gl/maps/B0rPW

Here's underneath the bridge: http://goo.gl/maps/wCDK9

I got a couple of photos of it back in February.

The approach, crossing some railroad tracks:

I recently ran into a one-lane bridge over water
Were you on a boat?

No, we were in a car.  Why would you think we were on a boat?

I spotted one on Lungren Road in Lenni, Pennsylvania while trying to track down the former Pennsylvania Railroad Chester Creek Branch. My first instinct would be to suggest widening it to two lanes, but they've got the West Chester Heritage Railroad using that, and I suspect they'd want to keep things as is.

NH 16 at exit 4, temporarily, due to construction. The underpass you see currently has 1 lane.

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Drove through this one in Williston, ND, trying to find a way around the mess that was the US 2 / US 85 intersection (summer 2014).

I have always liked this one on 20th Street in Rockford, Illinois:  https://goo.gl/maps/QadeZ.

Since the topic was revived, there's one under the Thruway just east of Rochester. I think there might be others scattered around.

In Jamestown, PA on Route 58, there's a one-lane arch bridge under an old railroad track. When the track was removed, the plan was to remove the underpass. But the locals felt that it was a symbol of the town, and were successful in saving it. It's one lane, and heading into Jamestown, requires you to stop at a stop sign that you can't see what's coming from left or right.

Too bad GSV hasn't been through recently to get better quality shots.

There is a one-lane underpass of US 101 at the Arizona Beach state park (Curry County) so that one can access the beach.  The access road is gravel.

Rick
US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

About 1 lane wide, and certainly a low bridge: https://goo.gl/maps/W7ctO

^^ I was trying to figure out how delivery or other trucks got to the buildings past the bridge with the "No Outlet" sign, then the map showed that the sign was erroneously placed before the bridge rather than after the intersecting street after the bridge.

JCinSummerfield

There's a one lane underpass just north of Dexter, MI on Dexter-Pinckney Rd.  Clearance of 10'6", trucks often get stuck underneath it.

I go thru that one all the time.  Despite being close to I-29, I've rarely had to wait for oncoming traffic.  The IC/CN tracks above don't see much use.  The UP tracks at grade just beyond are busy.

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.
