On Google Maps, I observed that a section of Old US 67 has been permanantly closed north of Midlothian

South End of Closure (note that there used to be a curve at this intersection): https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5109639,-96.9897848,3a,70.1y,14.47h,84.51t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1scZMojh32ID6LbwTjN0BWnQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

North End of Closure: https://www.google.com/maps/@32.515806,-96.9888495,3a,15.3y,183.39h,92.04t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sVT-Qa2GZjZjFR6F_7Mpc-A!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Farther north, the quarry took out a section of the old highway. Also worth noting, I have no idea why Google Maps thinks Gifco Rd is SH 2.

Just guessing but perhaps Ellis County Road 2?
Maybe the border for Commissioner Precinct 2 (or just within pct 2)

The only SH2 was farther west following US81.

Let's build what we need as economically as possible.

Old 67 is hit & miss wets of Texarkana. Most is still there, but it's closed off

There is a developer intent on hitting that part of the city around Gifco Road and Quarry Road. They can't get it right with the Midlo City Council largely because of the width of the overpass on 67 turning north. Which is not their problem but TxDOT's, but oh well, it's easier to blame the state.
