Was US 271 an original 1926 US highway?

I was going by a link on Wikipedia (which I see that you have since corrected" and didn't even click on the site.

It was omitted from the 1926/27 Seventh Biennial Report by the Arkansas State Highway Commission. Here is my old website which contains a verbatim listing of the original US highways:

Perhaps it was added after the 1925-26 report was written. Or perhaps Arkansas thought it was poo.

Now to find proof of its original alignment in Polk County.

1933 AR Official shows the road, but it's not marked as 271. West of Spiro, it's OK 10.  South of Spiro, it appears as a paved, un-numbered highway until 270 splits off near Poteau.
