Cities where Siblings Meet

Boone, NC is where child routes of US 21 intersect to form three separate sibling concurrencies.  If only US 521 came there all four of them would be a perfect meet.

However that US 221-321 run south concurrently while US 221-421 run east and both US 321-421 run west out of the center is a rare instance of three digit routes forming three different concurrencies from one core. Only if US 221 and 331 didn't run independent of each other for a short distance, you could have all three meet at one intersection.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

US 231 and US 431 meet each other a lot.  431 begins at 231 in Dothan AL, they're multiplexed between Huntsville, AL and Fayetteville, TN, and then it ends in Owensboro, KY near US 231 (formerly at US 231 when both were routed through downtown).

Others that I can think of:
McRae, GA: US 341 and US 441
Saluda, SC: US 178 and US 378
US 301 and US 601 are multiplexed b/w Bamberg and Orangeburg, SC
US 301 and US 501 are multiplexed b/w Latta, SC and Rowland, NC
Conway, SC: US 501 and US 701
Murfreesboro, NC: US 158 and US 258
Burkeville, VA: US 360 and US 460

One oddity:  US 301 and US 401 both go through Fayetteville, NC but don't intersect!

US 89

US 191 and US 491 meet in Monticello, UT
US 195 and US 395 meet in Spokane, WA
US 285 and US 385 meet in Fort Stockton, TX
US 277 and US 377 are concurrent north of Del Rio, TX
US 177 and US 377 meet in Madill, OK

SectorZ

US 202 and US 302 in Windham ME.

Rothman

Lewistown, PA: US 22, US 322, US 522

I was also thinking Harrisburg, PA, but US 322/US 422 meet east of the city, while US 22 and US 322 join in it.

Philadelphia of course, the City of Brotherly Love! :sombrero:

For a serious answer, US 183/283 have a concurrency in TX from Vernon to south of Throckmorton.

MATraveler128

There used to be US 209 and US 309 meeting in Tamaqua before 309 was downgraded to a state highway.
Decommission 128 south of Peabody!

This thread had me curious if US 240 & US 340 ever met in Frederick MD, but it doesn't seem like it - before US 40 was routed out of downtown, US 240 ended at the Market St/Patrick St intersection while US 340 ended at the Jefferson St/Patrick St intersection a few blocks west. Once US 240 was routed onto the Washington National Pike prior to the creation of I-70S (and later I-270), I'm assuming it ended at the same interchange where I-270 now ends, which of course is just south of the interchange where US 340 now ends.

I was also thinking Harrisburg, PA, but US 322/US 422 meet east of the city, while US 22 and US 322 join in it.

And there's 2 more x22 meets in PA: US 222/US 322 in Ephrata, and US 222/US 422 in Reading.

I thought US 322 & US 422 also met in Cleveland, but it looks like they just miss each other terminating on different sides of Public Square.
"Now, what if da Bearss were to enter the Indianapolis 5-hunnert?"
"How would they compete?"
"Let's say they rode together in a big buss."
"Is Ditka driving?"
"Of course!"
"Then I like da Bear buss."
"DA BEARSSS BUSSSS"

Nothing here in Michigan unless you count I-196 and I-296 meeting in Grand Rapids but I-296 isn't signed. Michigan only has 4 three digit US highways and none of them are from the same parent route.

PA 120 (former US 120) meets US 220 at its eastern terminus, if that counts.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

US 322 and US 422 come *really* close, both ending at Public Square in Cleveland. It's about a 500 foot distance along the South and East Roadways

I was thinking Twinsburg, Ohio.
Its only 30 miles from Public Square (Cleveland) where US 322 & US 422 meet.
Please, don't sue Alex & Andy over what I wrote above

Great Lakes Roads

I-865 meets I-465 on the northwest side of Indy...

Dirt Roads

Line 'em up in Cackalacky:

  • US-301 and US-601 meet each other in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
  • US-501 and US-701 meet each other in Conway, South Carolina.
  • US-301 and US-501 meet up in Dillon, South Carolina and split back up in Rowland, North Carolina.
  • Close, but no cookie:  US-301 and US-401 run closely parallel on the east and west sides respectively of Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Once upon a time, they ran parallel through downtown Fayetteville so close they could smell each other.
  • Finally, US-301 and US-701 meet each other in Four Oaks, North Carolina.
