I do volunteer work for a local city PD.  One evening a year ago there were reports on the radio that officers tried to serve a guy with a warrant that was out for his arrest, and he escaped and claimed that he had a 45 Automatic and that if they tried to arrest him that he would "go out in a blaze of glory".  Several officers on the radio referred to him as the "blaze of glory guy" as the search was underway.  Fortunately he was apprehended a couple hours later without any shots being fired.
