NV/AZ State Border marking on road at Hoover Dam?

I thought at one time at the Hoover Dam, there has been "NEVADA" and "ARIZONA" painted on the road itself delineating the state border.   Does anyone know if this true or if I just imagined it because to me, that would so much cooler than what is there now.

If I did see it, I cannot remember where I saw it (I'm assuming a pic either on the internet, or on a TV special a la some network owned by Discovery Communications).  Googling turned up nothing.   I'm sure someone on here remembers or even better has a pic to prove?

I mocked something up in MS paint to show exactly what I remember in my mind.

I do not recall ever seeing or hearing of a road marking of the state line on the dam. I know there's not a similar marking at the state line on the new bridge. Both the dam and the bridge both have plaques in the middle denoting where the state lines are (the one on the bridge is not visible from the travel lanes due to the high jersey wall).

There is something like this on Wendover Blvd/I-80 Business in West Wendover, NV/Wendover, UT. The state line is marked on the pavement with a white line, and two sets of state names are placed on both sides of the line, one set visible and readable in each direction of traffic. EDIT: Street View

The 1969 and 1990 Historic Aerials seem to show something across the pavement at the state line.  The 1992 and 1994 shots are blurry and there is definitely nothing there in the 2004 shot.

I was there in 1984 but don't remember one way or the other...

In my numerous visits over the past decade, I don't recall seeing anything written on the road either (probably to keep people from laying or standing in the road to take pictures!).

The state line is at the middle of the dam, and I don't see anything on these aerials...(although it gets too blurry and/or obscured by the copyright text when I zoom in to 50ft scale). There may be crosswalks offset from the state line though, but that's all I can see that might be on the road.

I seem to recall seeing something like the above mockup in a movie I saw in high school Spanish class, probably Fools Rush In or Three To Tango...
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

upon closer inspection I think what I am seeing is a crosswalk.  Angle of the photo semi-obscures the feature on the south side of the dam that the crosswalk leads to...

I believe on the south side of the dam extending from the center, is where the original visitor access was, prior to the construction of the current visitor center on the Nevada side in 1995. Not sure on that though.

It was Fools Rush In.  It's my understanding that that really was on US 93, but that it was painted there for the movie.

It appears the new bridge is entirely in Nevada

I noticed that of placement also in Google maps, but I kinda doubt that particular depiction of the state line is accurate. I've always known the line to be the center of the Colorado River.

Note also that both state welcome signs are posted where you see them after you have traversed the bridge..

Looks like the carport of the Montego Bay Casino is in Utah but once you step through the door, you're in Nevada.

Wouldn't be surprised if the casino bought the parcel from the Utah side for parking.  I'm sure Utah didn't want the building to extend past the state border due to differing state gambling laws.
Take the road less traveled.
