Changes to the California Highways Website - July and August 2016

Labor Day weekend. A traditional time for me to do computer updates, be it writing code while on vacation in Hawaii listening to the Jerry Lewis Telethon when I was in college, or doing updates in the early morning while on vacation (while looking at I-15 in front of me, near one of the most spectacular bridges on that route). Hopefully, these will take less time than the last batch. [Update: They didn’t, which is why I’m finishing things post-vacation at my desk, listening to the music I picked up on vacation.]

That's the introductory paragraph for the latest changelog, which you can find at http://cahighways.org/wordpress/?p=11941 or http://www.cahighways.org/changes.html . Thanks to everyone on this group for providing useful information -- especially Sparker and Joe -- for providing great historical information. I've attempted to capture that -- with attribution -- so that perhaps we need not keep reinventing the wheel (so to speak, although on this board... well, we might like to reinvent the wheel  ). If I've missed something, or you have more to add, please let me know.

I'm only human, so there can be errors -- and indeed, discussion here highlights some of them (such as Route 299 E of US 395, which I had wrong on my pages). If you see an error, or have something you want me to capture on my pages, please let me know. I'm trying to follow these forums better -- RSS feeds and newsblur help greatly -- so I'll be here to see what you say.

I also know that in the early days, I might have been poor with attribution. If you see something that needs better attribution, again, please let me know. I believe that we're all in this hobby together.

For what it's worth, I can't believe I didn't know about your site until recently.  Your site has been extremely helpful in my own research in terms in filling in the "speculation gaps" that I've had on the forum....or really just when I'm out and out looking for things on the road.
