I have been following this rather closely as well, and I must say, this is rather excting for a weather geek like myself. The attachment is from one of the computer models called the NAM, (although this website I got it from sitll calls it the ETA) it is showing about 15" in VA, around 10" in NYC.  I believe these amounts could be a little low, local convective (thunder snow) bands will probably develop, pushing accumulations even higher.

^^Perhaps, I should have looked at WV imagery before I said anything apparently, however there probably will still be convectively induced locally heavier totals.

The PTC has issued a travel alert for the system between Morgantown and the Delaware River Bridge.

Just wind chills to deal with on the opposite side of the Commonwealth.

Yeah, school's out for me in Hampton, VA. We've got just over an inch on the ground, forecasted to get up to 4 over the day, and it's REALLY COLD... 28/15 F.
First time it's snowed here in 4 years.

Here's another video in the "Snow in the South?" series, from today (2-Mar-09). The snow's started to dissipate.

Boston, May 18, 1987 - I remember this because it was my birthday... 7 inches of snow!

not all that much compared to the 22 of January '87 but still memorable for how late in the season it was.
live from sunny San Diego.
