Btw, I wonder where they filmed this 1984 Budweiser commercial where a barge menaced to hit the twin bridges who appeared in this commercial?

Doing some research, the boat was built in 1975 for the "Ole Man River Towing Incorporated" according to a tugboat information site (yeah, i too am suprised it exists http://www.tugboatinformation.com/tug.cfm?id=7444 )
But narrowing it down, and with a second copy of the ad campaign,you can see the bridges are two different colors...it's the vicksburg bridge on I-20 and US80/Railroad for the black one
One clue that gave it away, the side spans are through trusses not part of the main span truss. Nachez-Vidalia is a twin cantiliver but lacks that. Only other bridge like that on the southern river is the Memphis-Arkansas bridge, but that has two spans next to it. So that leave the I-20/US80 spans.

The Golden Gate Bridge was also featured in the cheesy climactic scene of A View to a Kill (Sir Roger Moore's final James Bond film).

It would take you all afternoon to read the filmography of the 6th Street Viaduct in Los Angeles. Until the current rebuild began, this concrete arch spanning the Los Angeles River and some railroad yards was in more movies, commercials and TV show episodes than any other bridge maybe in the world.

It doesn't even touch the dozens or even hundreds of TV commercials filmed there.
Reasons why it got used so much?
-It's in LA where they make all the moving pictures.
-It's got a good view of downtown.
-It's in a place where it's not a huge problem to shut it down for a day or two to film something.
-It looked pretty good. Very neo-classical/LA-noir kind of vibe.
-It can also look 'bad'; gritty and industrial depending on which way you point the cameras. Certainly, underneath it looks shady and very "Escape from New York"

The Hardy Bridge in Montana is used as the Canadian border crossing (even though it's nowhere near the Canadian border) in the movie The Untouchables. That scene always seemed strange to me because it was made to appear that Eliot Ness and company made an overnight trip from Chicago to make the bust. Such a trip circa 1930 would probably take a couple of weeks.

Another bridge that was used often is the lift bridge that was recently removed from the terminal island freeway. If there was a car chase in LA, chances are they used it. Some examples off the top of my head:
- Get Smart uses it near the end of the movie. Incredibly, they actually flew a plane between the two bridges.
- Inception used it during the climax of the movie.
- The Island used it as a location for a car chase
- I believe that it was used in the first Fast and Furious movie, but I could be wrong.

That Girl starring Marlo Thomas in the 60s featured the Northeast Corridor on Amtrak near the current Lautenburg Secaucus Transfer over local roads with the NJ Turnpike bridges next to it. Also the Pulaski Skyway in the distance.

I believe you will find on Walker Texas Ranger the Houston Street Viaduct used in the episodes where Walker gets into Action Drive Along gun fights.
That show had a lot of location segments filmed in Dallas before edited in Hollywood.
The movie "Renaissance Man" shows the Bluewater Bridge in Port Huron, MI a couple of years before it was twinned.
