Inspired by the "Which Interstate goes through the most area codes?", I figured out I should combine roads and weather, and see which ones crosses the most NWS county warning areas.

I'm beginning to think we've run out of things to talk about.  :-D

We still haven't done zip codes...  :spin:

FFC is the airport code for Atlanta Regional Airport down in Peachtree City, where the actual NWS office is physically located. I would imagine the code is probably derived at least in part from the original name of Falcon Field.

There's also North Platte, which is LBF (the IATA code for its regional airport, also known as Lee Bird Field). Neighboring Hastings is GID, which screams "Grand Island".

In the 122 States of America plan, one of the 291s will have to be renumbered.

And one of the 195s and 395s in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Thanks. I did this very late at night (I ended at 1 am CET!), so I was bound to unconsciously omit some (including two entire county warning areas). I've added a few others I missed as well, such as I-795 in North Carolina.

If your guys want, level III ecoregions as defined by the EPA will be next :sombrero:. I would have to omit the four interstates of Oahu, since Hawaii doesn't have any defined ecoregions.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

CNGL, being a weather geek too, I'm glad someone did this. And you have inspired something I am going to work on and put into the weather section. Stay tuned.

Another thread should be which Interstates go through the most Census Regions and Census Divisions, (I think I-70 is the only one that goes through all 4 Census Regions), Federal Reserve Districts, etc
