The No Left Turn sign is interesting. It uses the logo of the supermarket to inform people where they are turning which is wise. The drivers know they shop at Shop Rite so this is a sure attention getter.

US 40 near Uniontown, PA has plenty of truck warning signs WB on a 2.5 mile downgrade heading into the city. I'm guessing there have been incidents along that stretch involving semis losing control to warrant that. Even the Truck- Bus speed limit is 10 mph and a second break check half way down the mountain.

I was more intrigued by why there's a 12'8" vertical clearance sign and then immediately below there's a non-standard sign saying "actual bridge height 13'8""

I get that some jurisdictions, by agency policy or other rule, sign a vertical clearance lower than the actual clearance. But why compromise the effectiveness of the standard vertical clearance sign with something that contradicts it?

Waukesha County is using crappy off-brand signs on some of its highways:

They kinda look like the temporary signs in construction zones, but that sure looks like a permanent install. There's one on CTH JJ too: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8qq2M2ZVMwLLXEor5

Looks like only left turning vehicles have to stop.

This sign is on both directions of US Route 12 in Lewis County, Washington.

Westbound, just past milepost 134 near Packwood: https://maps.app.goo.gl/HSzzaQDwaHggnu9s5
Eastbound, just past milepost 97 in Morton: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Bmj6pbQ1QH91TWtC6

Looks like both signs were installed in 2022.

I hate NYSDOT's attempts at California-style freeway entrances and don't care that this crud is in the MUTCD nowadays, but here's another strange attempt at NY 32 at NY 199:

^ Huh.  I guess they're being inconsistent about what verbiage they want to use.

Also, because I finally remembered: Bridge Speed Limit 30.  Yes, the 30 mph zone really is just for that bridge (it's 55 otherwise).

I imagine the local cops can make a killing by sitting in that parking lot at the end of the bridge all day with a radar gun.
