I'm looking for an Android app that shows the temperature in the bar at the top of the screen. There are plenty of apps that do this, like the Weather Channel app and Weatherbug. These programs are huge and do a bunch of stuff I don't need them to. I'm looking for either a small program or a program that can be moved to the SD card. I have websites bookmarked for radar and forecast and don't need the app to do anything except to show the local temperature in the upper left hand corner.
I use one called EZ Weather that has a customizable weather clock widget. It also displays the current temperature in the status bar and drop-down notifications. Pretty small for what it does (about 2-3 mb).

For just the status bar temp, there are a couple others that might work.

I personally use Eye in the Sky with a custom Google Now image set. Fits well with Android 4.0+'s "Holo" theme.

Thanks. I downloaded EZ Weather. So far it does exactly what I want it to do, and it's a small program. If only I could move it to my SD card it would be ideal.

That's why I rooted. :)
Typically, any app that features a widget cannot be moved to SD. However, if you root and install, say, a Cyanogenmod ROM, you can move most apps to SD, or even do a Link2SD kind of thing. They can, however, break any widget you happen to be running.
Eye in Sky gets a nod from me for the simple and clean design.
I use the WGN Weather app - it will put the temp in the status bar as well as notifications of weather alerts.
The weather apps for KDFW/4 in Dallas and KYTX/19 in Tyler both have top-of-screen temps. I liked the apps, but they were a big drain on a battery that was already bad about not keeping a charge for very long (I've changed phones since then).
I just noticed WeatherNation finally has an Android app so I got it. It doesn't do top-of-screen temps so far.
1Weather does top of screen temp and can be moved to the SD card, but may be bigger (9M) than you want.
