After a relatively weak start to monsoon season, we had one of the biggest storms I've seen in quite some time today. A few showers moved through this morning and brought in some positively steamy air (dewpoints in the mid-60s), and then a huge line of thunderstorms hit the Wasatch Front this evening. Although there were a few severe thunderstorm warnings and wind reports, the big story with the storm was flooding. SR 210 and US 6 are closed due to massive mudslides and may not reopen for days, while US 89 is open to alternating traffic. Several search-and-rescue operations are currently underway as well.

Tomorrow might have some more thunderstorms, although they shouldn't be anything like what happened today. After that, it's back to typical hot and dry weather, with highs in the mid-90s.

Yikes! Was not the bad up here. No Monsoon-related thunderstorms in the Seattle area, but the eastern half of the state was dealing with some pretty major storms, which originated from a low, that itself originated from a monsoon (in that order, I believe). No flooding out there, as far as I know.
