Sure wouldn't want to be in Cooperton right now.

I'm not quite sure how to read that. Does it mean anything that Cooperton is green and surrounded by yellow on almost all sides (meaning it got lucky)?

The strongest center of circulation is that purple circle next to the tornado symbol, and that diagonal white line running through it is the track.

Dang, that cell even has a V-notch on the north side. I would not want to be there.

That is a difference of 21 degrees, but will come at a cost, especially for Oklahoma. "Slight" risk of Severe T-Storms for my area tonight.

Yep, we're at a Moderate risk today. Line of storms currently around Elk City, moving into the metro this evening. So far, it looks like they're all kind of blobbing together rather than forming discrete supercells. If that continues, it'll just be rain and lightning rather than anything hazardous.

If they "blob together" into a squall line, the hail and violent tornado threat goes down, but you can still get some ridiculous straight-line winds and a spin-up tornado or two (though these are usually short lived and weak). And it looks like that is largely what happened... looking now, there is a continuous line of severe thunderstorm warnings from Tulsa all the way down to Waco with a couple tornado warnings in the mix.

Also, I wouldn't want to be north of Cooperton either from that radar image... even if the tornado misses to the south, you're still right under a tremendous hail core (for those unaware, that green triangle 4 indicates 4-inch diameter hail, which is the size of a softball).

Little damage here from last night's storms. There are a few cracks in my siding, but I'm not sure if they were already there or not, and it looks like my back gate blew open and had a chunk of one of the planks broken off by hitting the corner of the house. My boss lives about a half-mile west of me and his whole back windshield was busted out.

Haven't dropped below 50 yet since last spring, and not expected to for a few more days.

Cloudy and rainy due to Hurricane Pamela. The high is about 80 degrees.

Tomorrow the high will shoot up to 90 (likely the last 90 degree day of the year), and a cold front will push through tomorrow night, bringing highs down to the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Tomorrow (Friday) looks like it could be the last days of triple-figure high temperatures of the year for South Texas, and I'd like to emphasize the "could be" part, because it might come back again before the holiday season (we seen that happen before).  Tomorrow's highs in the mid-90s along the coast and possibly hovering around 100 degrees inland; heat index ranging from 105-110.

Yesterday's highs in South Texas ranged from the mid-90s (coastal locations) to as much as 100 degrees in Falcon Lake.  After the cool front, we are looking at nighttime lows from upper 50s to mid 60s, and weekend highs in the low 80s.  Then next week it's back to mid-90s.
