Roadgeekteen seems to be a duplicate of me. He has posted 50 times today, often from threads that have not been active since 2009. In my first few days to weeks, I also posted a lot (although not 50 in one day), often from inactive threads. He is also from Massachusetts, and he is 18 like I am (which was visible until he removed it from his profile).
IDK but his posting frequency is slightly obnoxious, never mind the necroposting in old threads...

I more or less just told him that with the US 200 thread after he picked out something I said a long time ago to comment on. I'm all good on bringing back some old threads if there is something of substance to add, but 50 something posts on old threads is a little out of control.

Indeed
Ditto. I started as an (emphasis needed) asshole during my early days. Eventually I stopped being a fool, undertook therapy on the art of conversation, and with the development from my 12th birthday (now I'm 13), I learned that 8 posts a day is extremely stupid.

Damn son! I don't even do that! I am at most 3-4, but not 8! Never 8!
I post seldom a lot of the times to avoid making a fool out of myself on a topic I know little about, so I just read mostly.

I do the same. Unless it's a topic I know, or if it relates to a road trip, I'll probably post. Of course, I have a lot of junk posts on stuff I don't know about and I have to work on deleting them.

Well, if you have that much to legitimately contribute then it's likely OK. If you're posting "I agree" a lot, that's highly frowned upon. Posting simply to get to the next level like you're playing Donkey Kong is extremely discouraged and angers the list moderators.

This is what I've decided as well. I figure that, if it's really noticeable, then a mod will send a message or post a reply to correct the behavior. And, if it hasn't caught the attention of a mod, then it's not a big enough problem. Especially with younger members, this might be one of the only forums they've been a member of, so they're not yet used to forum etiquette.
