ILs mantra..the beatings will continue until the morale improves but Expect Delays is good too. Seems some are happy that Chicago/land remains miserable. Status quo is often asinine...Always feel free to use a dictionary as I tend to offend younger or more sensitive viewers. Thanx Pythagoras.

I always thought so.  It's about 3/4 Chicagoland anyway as it is.

Don't worry, Idaho and Indiana are easy to confuse.

  • They both begin with I and have a D fairly early in the state name.
  • They are both northern; both contain I-90.
  • Both vote Republican for presidential candidates. (Except 2008.)
  • Both are taller than they are wide.
  • Indiana is considered part of the Midwest, but Idaho would be part of the Midwest instead if we didn't already define "Midwest" to represent an area that is east of the midpoint.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

And trees.  They both have trees.
(I'm including southern Indiana, which not everybody is wont to do.)

Idaho grows potatoes; Indiana senators misspell them. That's how I always tell them apart.

Out of the two states that I've called home, who'd have thought that Indiana was the one that got confused with Idaho?
Davenport, IA -> Valparaiso, IN -> Ames, IA -> Orlando, FL -> Gainesville, FL -> Evansville, IN
