Connie on Roof along US-1
« on: January 10, 2010, 12:03:00 AM »

Years ago as a kid I remember a trip to Key West along US-1 and recall seeing a Lockheed Constellation mounted on the roof of a restaurant or service station along the Overseas Highway. The last few times I been down that was I didn't see the old gal but, to tell the truth, I didn't really look for it.

Any idea whether this plane still exists or has it been removed/scrapped/destroyed by hurricane etc.?

Pretty sure that's a negative - I would have noticed something like that.
