US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

Neat stuff.  That area is on my bucket list for sure...I think it's the midwesterner in me but I love the desert areas of the southwest and northern Mexico.

thanks!

that is it for the Baja trip, but this upcoming weekend I will be doing a run in Sonora and Chihuahua, so there will be more Mexico coming soon.

Love the pictures and the captions!  FYI, the name "FMM" doesn't mean multiple-entry visa.  When used as a tourist card, it's not technically a visa, and the last M (which stands for Multiple) refers to its multiple uses.  A decent translation would be "Multipurpose Immigration Form".

Regarding the photo you posted on this thread, I love how that speed limit sign in the center of the shot says 40 km/h.  If people think the U.S. posts some unnecessarily low speed limits......
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
