NB I-55 is facing a 2-3 day closure north of Burdette due to a damaged bridge. No one seems to know how it damaged (an "unknown event") .
Northbound traffic has to exit at AR 148 at Burdette, go east to US 61, then north to I-55 at Blytheville.
I Drive Arkansas is showing traffic to be barely moving.

I can't really comment about the bridge issue, although I hope it's not too bad, but I have to say that the AR-148 exit is
weird-looking. I wonder why it has that very-spread out design, to say nothing of that insane intersection with CR-597 in the northwest quadrant.

If you think that's bad, check out AR 118 at Joiner

I know that one well. Mother is from Joiner.
Update on the closure : 55 has reopened, according to I Drive Arkansas, but I have seen no Twitter updates. Accident was apparently caused by a truck carrying a forklift that hit the bridge

Do you know which specific bridge it is?
Last time I was on that stretch of highway it seemed like EVERY overpass was low clearance.
Make the fact that it's the state's aging infastructure?? :hmmm:

Reported to be CR410 overpass, but GSV shows no bridge at this location. Closest I can find is CR 378.

This closure is not on Arkansas Highways. You'd think it would be... :hmmm:

It was on I Drive Arkansas and on Twitter, but the road appears to be open now.
