Sometimes when there are redone pieces of road, roads transitioning from private/public, different authorities, etc, they do not make sudden changes to the striping that makes following them rediculous or dangerous. Here's some examples:
Few foot turn lane

Double left turn lane leads to 1 lane. This one was originally 2 lane on the private property, then they decided to stripe it to one+bike lane but not change the double turn lane. They put a few arrows on the ground giving a 10 ft merge area after a few years before they finally eliminated a turning lane.

I find this one interesting, as it seems they should have forced the property owner to restripe their connection to accept the 2 lanes again as originally built, not reduce the capacity of this already crowded intersection.
