340 figures that if 211 and 360 can exist as two different classifications in Virginia, then so can I!

NY 62 is just slightly less common than NY 44.

I can slightly forgive NYSDOT for these, because both of these US highway numbers are wildly out-of-place.

That would be an interstate shield. We all know NC loves their interstates!

This has been through I believe 2 sign replacements resulting in a US 18 shield here for 20+ years.

GSV still shows the US 36 EB error shield in Petersburg, VA, as of 2019; however, the WB error shield is shown as long gone.

There are several US 36 shields in Petersburg now. A few of them are even in 3-digit shields.

Yeah, and US 10, US 36, and US 156 have taken over Hopewell.  Do not forget US 144 in Colonial Heights.

Though not a mix up, pasting a IN 933 over a US 33 shield gives the impression it's a US 933 shield ( or shields).

One of Hopewell's freaky VA 10 shields got replaced with more US shields. There was actually a different (and very stretched out) US shield here for a very brief time but was quickly replaced before StreetView could capture it.

Ok.  That was the one that was changed.  The one on VA 36 is still there as of Sunday.

US/State mix-ups are pretty rare in Nevada to begin with. I came across one that was extra unusual a few months ago, but wasn't in a position to get a picture and had to wait for Street View to catch up.

Street name sign along SR 445/Pyramid Hwy at Dolores Dr in Sparks

The unusual factor here, beyond accidentally using the US highway shield instead of a NV shield, is that putting highway shields on street name signs (standard or backlit signs at signals) is not common practice by any agency in Nevada. Usually you just see the road name or "SR ###"/"US ###" written in text (or occasionally both).

That actually replaced a correct US 60 shield that was previously there.
