Tribute to US 90 Alternate

For some reason, I have a great affection for this highway in Southeast Texas.  (0 Alternate starts at IH 610 at the point where US 90 multiplexes with 610 briefly, then IH 10 for the entire run through Houston.  US 90 Alternate holds many names as it treks along to the general southwest.  It meanders through The Eastside in a divided fashion with the Westbound lanes designated Wayside Drive and the Eastbound lanes classified as SGT Macario Garcia before heading crossing IH 45 and running near the University of Houston, now having changed name to "Old Spanish Trail." This routing heads west, crossing SH 288 and bordering the Texas Medical Center (and running near my apartment). A split/junction intersection sees US 90 Alternate become South Main, a very wide surface street.  After crossing IH 610, it becomes a limited access "mini-freeway." After leaving Houston, it forms a main street for Stafford and Sugar Land before heading through towns south of IH 10 before ending at IH 10 outside Seguin, near San Antonio.

I don't know why, but I love this highway.

Business routes, however, may be less obvious. US 56 & 77 run concurrent through Herington, KS, splitting at the north end of US 56 Bus.
IIRC, it was at one time also US77Bus, but KDOT decided One Was Enough and removed US77Bus, even going so far as to delete it with AASHTO.

Ask and ye shall receive! These are traveling eastbound along US 90 ALT, just west of Hallettsville. IIRC, the first image is approaching the junction (southbound US 77 ALT is to the right), the second is at the junction itself (the US 77 ALT shield is intentionally at an angle, because the same post is used for both roads... clever, no?), and the third is the first set of reassurance shields.

Like bannered routes? Blackwell Rd. at Lee Highway, Warrenton, VA: Business US 15/Business US 211 at Business US 17/Business US 29. Business US 15/17/29 run together on both sides of the city. I would bet good money there's no intersection with more than four bannered routes at it.

Warrenton actually has only three at any intersection; US 17 Biz leaves the inner bypass at Broadview, west of Blackwell.

Georgia probably has a bunch of 3+ because the state routes get their own bannered routes (as opposed to the other three states with a state number on every U.S. Route, where bannered routes generally get different state numbers or an A suffix - not that they're usually signed in those states). There's a four in Bainbridge - Biz US 27/US 84/SR 1/SR 38.

Laurinburg NC has an intersection of four.
