Looking at the new proposed site, the north side of SH 121 between Beach and Maxine, I don't see a spot suitable for anything large. The only candidate locations are the small plots next to Oak Knoll and Shadow streets, and those sites won't accommodate anything like the artist depiction. As the article states, the IH 30 location in east Fort Worth would have had sufficient space for the original design.

North Texas officials are working to determine the alignment of a hoped-for high-speed rail connection between Dallas and Fort Worth (tying into Texas Central's Dallas-to-Houston plans), and the IH-30 alignment is most likely to be selected. That section of IH 30 is also slated to be widened to 4x4 or 5x5 (its currently 3x3). If the high speed rail happens, it would likely be done in conjunction with the freeway widening and reconstruction.
