There is a mysterious exit with Dedham st in Canton. You can only go from Dedham st to I-95 south. You can't get from the street to I-95 north, or from I-95 to the street. This exit is not on the list of I-95 exits on Wikipedia or any other site. What is this exit and why can you only do one thing at it?

Current Interstate map I am making:

It was built somewhat recently (mid 2000s, I think), to provide a better way from commuter traffic from the industrial/business parks in that nearby area to reach 95 southbound, and take that traffic away from the already congested University Ave area.

The interchange is currently being revamped so there will be an off-ramp from North I-95 (Exit 11C). It is the second phase of the I-93/I-95 Canton interchange project. Official MassDOT site: http://www.massdot.state.ma.us/highway/HighlightedProjects/cantoninterchange.aspx

You can only go from Dedham St. EB to I-95 SB. 1/8 movements. Would not recommend.

They have to improve it.  Trillium Brewery is right there.  Some of the best beer in New England  (along with Treehouse).

Yeah, I had a heck of a time getting there.  Had to get off 128 at Canton St.  Got back on at University Ave.
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

If you are "outside the !-291 beltway" then you'll still be getting off at Canton Street to get to Trillium.

They also have to add the NB off-ramp at Dedham Street because the future I-95/I-93 interchange project as currently designed eliminates access from I-95 NB to University Avenue. The NB off-ramp at Dedham Street will be the only way for NB vehicles to get to the Route 128 MBTA/Amtrak station.

How does the amount of ramps influence whether or not an interchange should be used?  :hmmm:

If you're in a position to use that one ramp, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't.

PHLBOS

Looking at Google Earth image just east of the Dedham St. overpass (I-95) and seeing the business development (including Trillium Brewing) along Shawmut St. (which originates at Dedham St. just east of the overpass and proceeds southward); I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been plans to make Dedham St. a full-movement interchange w/I-95; especially if Dedham St. is being widened from two lanes to four.  It's far enough away from all the I-95 (& I-93 if one includes the MA 138 interchange) interchanges in Canton & Westwood to justify its existence.

On your next drive up I-95 N, you'll notice that they've already cleared out some of the brush/rocks where the future Exit 11C off-ramp/bridge expansion will be.  Very small progress, but progress nonetheless.

Ah, youth. "1/8 would not recommend" is an Internet thing.

Googling the quoted phrase lends some... interesting... results.

Not necessarily.  Hill Farmstead is the best beer in the world (per ratebeer.com) and gets by just fine being 2.5 miles from the nearest pavement...

BTW, how do they compare to Hill or Prohibition Pig?

I bet it's NSFW, isn't it?
"Officer, I'm always careful to drive the speed limit no matter where I am and that's what I was doin'." Said "No, you weren't," she said, "Yes, I was." He said, "Madam, I just clocked you at 22 MPH," and she said "That's the speed limit," he said "No ma'am, that's the route numbah!"  - Gary Crocker

Googling it without quotes yields a bunch of references to bible verses Daniel 1:8 and 2 Corinthians 1:8, and a couple other random things.

If you Google it with quotes the first result is this thread.  :-D
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

I've usually seen it out of 10 (occasionally 5), not out of 8. Numbers outside the range (like 11/10 or a negative number) aren't that rare.

There is a different meme where you "r8" something 8/8, but in that case it's always 8/8, not anything lower.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

I'm glad one person got it.
