Post by: hotdogPi on August 17, 2013, 07:13:19 PM
Start: Not telling
Got on I-495 (MA)
Got on Mass Pike
Got off at a rest area for lunch
Saw button copy for Route 33 on Mass Pike
Got off at exit 4, paid toll (to rest)[1]
Took US 5
Stopped at a home decorating store to rest
Got on I-91 north
Got on Mas2s Pike again
Paid ticket for .0¢
Entered New York
Got ticket for Thruway
Crossed Castleton-on-Hudson bridge
Got on Thruway north
Crossed Norman's Kill several times – don't want anyone dead
Got on I-88 West3
Stopped at a very basic rest area in East Worcester. NY
Passed Alanland, saw a goat 4
Got off at NY 206
Went through mountains, including a 10% grade5
Entered ∆6
In ∆, turned onto NY 79 west
Got to Ithaca 7
Had to find the right house  :spin:

1 Took a rest because of tiredness
2 Avoiding censor
3 Not that I-88
4 Didn't quite stop there, but it was a multicolored goat
5 Failed, but at least I didn't get a 0 on the test
6 The town is called "Triangle".
7 This footnote does nothing.

Simply: I-495 (MA) to Mass Pike, into New York onto the New York State Thruway, to I-88, to NY 206, to NY 79, to destination.

Basically what NE2 is saying is that you didn't really tell us anything here.  All you did was show the route you took.  No observations.  Nothing of note.

There was button copy once (I mentioned that).
I also saw the "Home of Friendly Ice Cream" on the Mass Pike.
Also on the Mass Pike, there were beautiful mountains, and I saw a sign showing the highest point on the Mass Pike in Massachusetts.
The two rest areas we stopped in were at extremes: The first one had lots of restaurants, and the other one just had parking and bathrooms.

Given the detailed itineary (as opposed to observations), I note how "1" failed to mention stopping at (or slowing down for, if he has EZ-Pass) the Cannan Toll Booths (yes, the advance warning signs do say "booths" instead of "plaza") on the Berkshire Extension.
