Is TxDOT phasing out all 75 mph speed limits on I-10 east of Houston?

And in my experience in various parts of the state, regardless of if the speed limit was 65 mph vs. 75 mph, traffic would flow around 80 mph.

Are to assume that you think the effective speeds are too fast?

As to I-10 east of Houston. The widening projects MOSTLY have the speed limit down to 65 right now. 
Let's build what we need as economically as possible.

The speed limit currently is 65 mph out to Winnie (with traffic moving around 75-80 mph), 55 mph between Winnie and Beaumont for widening (with traffic moving around 75-80 mph), then 75 mph east of there (with traffic moving around 75-80 mph) to near the state line where it lowers to 65 mph for a work zone.
