Good morning from the Denim Capital of the World! :D
Welcome from the southwest suburbs of Chicago
Hopefully you aren't into the theory that Illinois isn't flat or the hypotenuse...
Welcome!
Thanks all
Like sharing history and learning new terms, etc, and about other regions,
Welcome from elsewhere in Chicagoland!
Chicagoland? Great! Bring me a slice of Lou Malanti's pizza! I've had Uno's (my favorite), Gino's, and Giordano's, but yet to try Lou's.

You're not missing anything, trust me.
We don't just have deep dish pizza. Chicago thin crust is cut in squares, and crispy.
^ I thought only New Yorkers do thin crust?? I know Detroit and Chicago styles are pan-thick with loads of filling. Anyway my first choice is always Chicago deep dish.

Chicago has tavern style which is the thin crust. Vito and Nick's is the best thin crust in the city hands down. D'Augustinos another great parlor

Wtf Lou's is the best pizza I've ever had.
And everyone does thin crust pizza--Chicago is the only place that does any differently. But yes Chicago also has the pub style thin crust as a regional claim to fame, in addition to the deep dish.

You obviously haven't tried anywhere out in the south suburbs, Guardi's at 167th and 80th is where it's at.
