Just found this:
Quote from Texas Highway Designation File:
QuoteMinute Order 114105, dated 10/30/2014; DesLtr 4-2014, dated 03/02/2015
SH 180 was removed from the state highway system from SH 12 eastward to I-35E, a distance of approximately 6 miles; control, jurisdiction and maintenance were transferred to the city of Dallas.

Wow, that's a surprise.  Now TX 180, TX 289, and TX 342 all stop at Loop 12.  TX 78, TX 114, TX 183, TX 310, TX 352, and (barely) TX 356 still are designated within Loop 12, for now.

I wonder if there will be future moves about de-designating the inside-Loop 12 sections of TX 78, TX 352, and TX 356?  They're all city streets like those that are no longer found inside Loop 12.  Would Irving want to keep the little bit of TX 356 that still remains between Loop 12 and Regal Row?

I don't see TX 114's or TX 183's alignments or designations changing anytime soon, if at all.

TX 310 could be a toss-up.  Would it still be considered important enough to keep, or will there be a move to lose the numbering when S.M. Wright becomes a boulevard?

ETA:  The city of Dallas either doesn't know fully about this change, or the streets/transportation/infrastructure department is lazy about changing the mast arm street blade signs for Davis St. and Eighth St. (the 2 streets that have carried the TX 180 (and US 80 before that) designation) to versions that no longer show the TX 180 numbering.
