I obviously started with Jake's sign generator.  A real sign with blinking LEDs instead of button copy would be sweet.

Just one problem: the led's shouldn't go back & forth, around the perimeter like a movie marquee

easily doable; have a period of 3, not 2.

While not a US Shield, we have an intersection in Delaware (Ohio, that is) that has flashing leds around the stop signs there.
