Has anyone heard any insider information?
http://www.ozarksfirst.com/news/new-arkansas-highway-construction-expected-to-break-ground-in-2018/899684109 - Another raference alluding to I-630, but no for sure date on any specific steps in the starting of construction.
I have been tracking the Construction Letting Plans for [Job CA0608]. I will post them once published!
I anticipate letting plans for CA0608 (I-630 Widening) will be released in this (http://www.arkansashighways.com/bid_letting_commission_meetings.aspx) upcoming April 4th meeting.
There is to be a commission business meeting on the 24th.
Hope to see some pictures of the progress!

I hope to catch dirt work on it when I go to Little Rock in a few months. I won't miss much.

Job CA0608 is up for bidding on Bid Express (https://www.bidx.com/ar/letting?lettingid=APR0418).
Job CA0608 Plans (https://www.bidx.com/ar/letting?lettingid=APR0418)
As of now, this job is not on ArDOT's Plans from Previous Lettings (http://www.arkansashighways.com/ProgCon/General/construction_plans_include.aspx) page, but nearing the end of either the bid or the year it should be posted! Hopefully all of the detail, because I read somewhere in a the documentation I have been pouring over that there are guide sign replacements and with guide sign replacements come gantry assemblies! (This isn't so much for the people as it is for me, it's a me thing...) I wish I could find a copy of the AASHTO Standard Specifications For Structural Supports For Highway Signs Fifth Edition 2009
The book spells out a lot of the specifications Arkansas follows, but I have no money! Boo :(
Looking at plans for Job CA0608_5 Addendum I-630 isn't quite finished! On page 34 of 35, there is reference to a ramp to be constructed in the future: "Ramp 7 to be constructed by others in future"

Bid Opening
ARDOT opened contractor bids in April 2018 and the Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid for improvements by Manhattan Road & Bridge Company and awarded the project for $87.4 million. Construction is estimated to take less than two years to complete.
*Check the above for plans and other information on the Bid Express link.

*I underestimated when they would upload the letting plans. This is Stage 1 of 5
Looking on page 59 of 956 there are construction sign specifications and the font of those signs are D, and C. This could only mean one thing! We'll finally see some Highway Gothic back in Little Rock!!! Aside from the sign TBSK showed (I forgot the one in question).
Looking on pg. 249 A) I want to know what the 'Enhanced' is, and if they are replacing the word 'contrast' with it instead...
AHTD/ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDOT should accept Chenal Parkway/Financial Center Parkway into the state system and number it AR 630, providing a single number from AR 10 west of Little Rock all the way to I-30 near downtown.
Looking on pages 401-409 will show that they are doing a sign job to replace what looks to be all of the former Clearview signage along I-430 and I-630 with some structures to be replaced.
