From the Associated Press:

WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - The state Department of Transportation
says it's restoring money in its budget to widen a congested
portion of Interstate 84 in Waterbury.
The department said last year that it needed to focus on other
projects and was putting the $300 million project on the back
burner.
But Waterbury state Rep. Selim Noujaim (Seh-LIMM' NOO-jame) told
the Republican-American that DOT leaders assured him last week that
the I-84 project is back in the budget. He says they called it a
top priority behind replacing New Haven's Quinnipiac River Bridge
and Stratford's Moses Wheeler Bridge.
The project involves widening I-84 between Exits 22 and 25A in
Waterbury, an area of frequent congestion and collisions. An exact
start date hasn't been determined.

'Bout Time!!!!!

Though this isn't the first time CT has divided a widening project into more than one section and tackled one years before the other...
(I-91 north of Hartford.... CT 66 between Middletown and Middlefield.... )
