I think the Panhandler is a little bit too old to be using a large stuff animal for security.

Another non-fuzzed face.  The system doesn't expect faces so close to the ground.

Found what appears to be one signal perfectly captured between red and green:

An LGS directing people to go the wrong way on a one-way street. This was in March 2016-- it'd been corrected by rotating it ninety degrees by the time of the next Streetview in September.

I walk an average of 3-4 miles every day (that's over an hour), including 260 miles of unique roads, and I can count the number of times I saw a dog roaming the street with no owner nearby on one hand. While dogs are common, they're almost always in yards or being walked.

Come to my house.  The neighbor's dog jumps the fence at craps in our yard almost every day.

It's kinda crazy that the GSV car saw one this close to the front of his/her vehicle.  I wonder how long the GSV car had to wait for the dog to get out of the way.  I remember being spooked one time by a swarm of dogs that surrounded my car when I reached a stop sign in rural Coles County when I was 17. This abandoned barn just had dog after dog running out at my car...I slowly crept up to a fast enough speed to get out of there!  They were in FRONT of my car too...I was afraid I'd hit one!

Anyway, if I was a GSV driver, I'd be spooked by the prospect of possibly running over a dog if I am not careful.

Top-five forum typo of all time?

Or was I the only one amused at the thought of a dog being invited to an outdoor game of dice?  :-P

It wasn't the front of the car.  I know this, because you can clearly tell the dog was chasing the vehicle.  Thus, the dog was actually standing in the middle of the street behind the Google car.

Here's the first shot I can see the dog in:  https://goo.gl/maps/ARbJMj1r1EHjPquJ8

I seem to recall in To Kill A Mockingbird there was a dog in the street and it was crazy.

I’m going to rule that while one shot of a dog is not “crazy”, the sequence does count as such. Point for Paul!

If you go north to where Standard City Rd becomes Wylder Rd there's also the smallest vehicle lane I've seen - a poorly placed line on a 16ft concrete road makes it as small as 6ft in places.

Bonus:  This section of Wylder Rd is an old alignment of US 66!

Wow, that's really cool. Must be the only reason this road has any markings at all.

Oh, it being part of US 66 makes it make a lot of sense. I believe those were called "sidewalk highways". If it was anything like the similar sections of US 66 in Oklahoma, it would have had gravel shoulders on both sides. You were supposed to drive down the center of the concrete, and when traffic approached, you'd move to the right so you were half on the concrete, half on the gravel.

This was done to save money. Of course it started becoming dangerous as traffic increased.

I once found a murder scene on the satellite photos. I have no idea where it was now.
